It's easy. If you want to buy a million dollars worth of coins, you're probably pretty smart and know what you're doing. And if you know what you're doing, then you don't try to buy them by putting one order in the order book at one price thats been beaten through several times in the last 24 hours.

sorry for the off topic but

bitfloor stopped trading!!!!

"All trading is currently suspended.
I am sorry to announce that due to circumstances outside of our control BitFloor must cease all trading operations indefinitely.   Unfortunately, our US bank account is scheduled to be closed and we can no longer provide the same level of USD deposits and withdrawals  as we have in the past. As such, I have made the decision to halt operations and return all funds.

Over the next days we will be working with all clients to ensure that everyone receives their funds. Please be patient as we process your request.

Why I laugh when other people are screaming to move to other exchanges. Between bitcoin24 and now this, the smaller exchanges are just WAY more unsafe to store funds.

Someone sold thousands of coins and then threw up a 4k ask wall at 88, and the bids would not budge. They started buying into the wall and then it was pulled. Bullish sign.

Damn, I wish I had not pulled those bids when it shot down to $50. Oh well, glad I'm still long.

The biggest factor in all this (Paypal, WU, etc.), is that they are recognizing Bitcoin as a potential business opportunity. This puts added pressure to be first mover if people think someone else might jump first. Mmmm game theory.

The paypal comment means nothing. Just being a CEO. What else could have said ? Fuck bitcoins ? You guys are delusional...

The guy knew specific facts of a topic that even the interviewer said was out of left field. C-level execs at Paypal, the biggest online payment processor, have clearly discussed Bitcoin. That, in and of itself, is massive news. Bitcoin is being recognized and described as 'fascinating', that alone will get converts.

This is almost certainly a KYC/AML/BS registration issue affecting Mt. Gox exclusively. I don't foresee any broader action against Bitcoin/bitcoin exchanges/bitcoin business at this time. The panic is slightly overblown.

DHS is freezing Mutum Sigillum LLC assets, which is the US-based arm of Mt. Gox. Their Dwolla account is confirmed, but we don't know of any other asset seizures.

...Bitcoin transactions that avoid paying applicable taxes are in fact illegal...
All transactions that avoid paying applicable taxes are illegal.  What's that got to do with Bitcoin?

To be more accurate, all transactions MAY require you to report the income/loss from that transaction, annually. Technically, if your baseball card increases in value from $1 to $1,000 and you realize that value in a sale, then that's reportable income. Bitcoin is no different. (USA)

Founder's Fund is huge for Bitpay

I think it's the biggest positive news in the Bitcoin industry I've heard all year.

Also Who knows what else is going to emerge out of the conference in the coming days ?

I've worked for VCs in the past, and when doing due diligence on a company and I saw FF had invested in the leading competitor, I would count that as a HUGE negative to the company. FF brings a ton of resources to the table for Bitpay.
